2016 was quite a year for me. If you haven't heard this album yet, check it out! Even though it's nearly five years old now, it still has so much truth.
Let me set the timeline for you. We The People was the first album I wrote and recorded sober. I had just had my heart surgery in March 2015, so getting back into the booth and trying to spit as hard as I was used to was really hard for me. If you've ever had to recover from something as painful as quadruple bypass, you can relate. It hurt just to fart, much less RAPPING! But here I was. Recovering from heart surgery and stone sober for the first time in a lifetime nearly. This album is one of my favorites. It's a testament to my commitment to my health journey and a lot of obstacles overcome.
Some of my favorites include the title track We the People. Another patriotic track on the album is My Kind America. Need a good song for cruisin' a back road? Be sure to check out Rollin'. Wanna hear the story of how SB and I met? Listen to Thing for You with William Michael Morgan.
